Adults Aquatics
The YMCA’s Water Fitness program encourages people of all ages to use water to enhance their physical fitness. It’s an ideal form of exercise for all ages and increases physical strength and endurance without putting stress and strain on joints.
Swimmers and non-swimmers alike can take part in this type of exercise to reduce emotional stress and tension, improve health and encourage feelings of well-being and self-esteem.
In level I, participants will learn the basic principles of moving through the water, breathing and body position.
Level II is designed for participants who are comfortable floating with their face in the water. During this course, participants will learn safety strokes, stroke development stroke and kicking fundamentals.
