Wellness Coach (part-time)
The incumbent will work with members in our YMCA and wellness center with their fitness programs and assisting with meeting their goals and objectives.
Qualifications: Out-going personality, good verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, being a team player. Fitness background a plus, but not required.
Shift available: Evenings & Weekends
Salary: $8/hr
Preschool & Family Coordinator (full-time)
Responsibilities include:
- To research, create, develop, and implement dynamic and new programs that are responsive to the community needs.
- To plan, organize, lead, and evaluate all Preschool & Family Programs.
- To be a team player who demonstrates strong verbal communication, leadership, customer service, decision-making, and problem solving skills.
- Oversee the accurate records of all activities and maintain them, including stats of programs, training records for staff.
- To oversee the babysitting Department along with supervising the staff.
- To have a leadership role in the Day Camp Program with training, supervision, planning, etc.
Qualification include:
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor and/or Associates Degree in Education or Early Childhood or have equivalent experiences and possess strong skills and experience in:
- Program development
- Staff development and supervision
- Relationship building and assessment of community needs
- Written, verbal, and interpersonal communications
Must be able to work Saturdays.
Salary – $10-$12/hr including benefits
After School Site Directors (part-time)
Moon Area School District
2:30-6:30pm, Mon-Fri, during the school year
Minimum of Associates Degree in education or human services field and a minimum of 3 years
experience working with children
Salary – $10.00/hr
After School Group Supervisors (part-time)
Ambridge, Moon, and Quaker Valley Area School District
2:30-6:30pm, Mon-Fri, during the school year
Minimum of Associates Degree in the education field or human services field and a minimum of 3 years
experience working with children
Salary – $9.00/hr
Substitute After School Teachers (part-time)
Ambridge, Moon, and Quaker Valley School Districts
Available between 6:30-10:30am and 2:30-6:30pm
Minimum of High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years working with children
Salary – $8.00-$9.00/hr depending on education and qualifications
Before School Teachers (part-time)
Quaker Valley School District
6:30-8:30am, until 10:30am on 2 hour delays
Minimum of Associates Degree in education field or human services field and a minimum of 3 years
experience working with children
Salary – $9.00/hour
Lifeguard (part-time)
Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety, and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Minimum age – 16 years
Certifications – CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid
Current YMCA Lifeguard or American Red Cross, Oxygen Administration (required within 30 days of hire)
ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness
Must demonstrate Lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA Standards

Aquatic Instructor (part-time)
The Y is a leading non-profit for strengthening community, and the nation’s longest provider of swim lessons to increase skill and safety in and around water. This position provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes.
Minimum age – 16 years
Certifications – CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid
Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA Standards
YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent
Saturdays 9am-12pm; Tuesdays 5-7 pm; Thursdays 4:30-6 pm
Salary – $7.25/hr
Infant Group Supervisor (part-time)
Supervise children ages 6 wks – 12 mos. in a positive, fun environment.
Plan and implement appropriate lessons that encourage growth and development
Engage with other staff and parents.
Qualifications – BS or Associates in Early Childhood or degree plus 30 hrs early childhood credits, CDA acceptable.
2,500 hours documented experience working with children, strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Team player
Salary – $9/hr
Two shifts available:
- Monday through Friday – 8 am-1 pm
- Monday through Friday – 1-6 pm
Group Supervisor – Toddler (part-time)
Supervise children ages 12-24 mos. In a positive, fun environment.
Plan and implement age appropriate lessons that encourage growth and development.
Engage with other staff and parents.
