As members, seniors can enjoy various free aquatic classes to relieve stress and arthritis on joints or injuries.
ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION AQUATICS PROGRAM (A.F.A.P.)
This exercise program is for individuals with moderate to severe arthritis. Participants will increase range of motion and flexibility, while building endurance.
ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION AQUATICS PROGRAM (A.F.A.P.) DEEP WATER
Deep Water A.F.A.P. is a great exercise program for individuals with moderate arthritis that are comfortable in deep water.
BIONIC BABY BOOMERS: HELP FOR THOSE ANTICIPATING/RECOVERING FROM KNEE OR HIP SURGERY
Lack of exercise can slow recovery from knee or hip surgery. Exercising in waist-high water takes 50% of your weight off your legs. Chest high water cuts 75% off and deep water is 100%. This class is for post-surgical patients whose incisions have healed and have been cleared by their surgeon.
POOL TIME PROMENADE
Shallow-water, low impact and light intensity, take advantage of additional resistance when walking or jogging in Pool Time Promenade. Improve posture, balance and lower extremity strength during this popular class.
READY, SET, ROCK
Improve your endurance and tone arms, legs, and abs with high energy music while participating in Ready, Set, Rock. Participants will enjoy a variety of exercises in deep water while using float belts and must be comfortable in deep water and able to swim without aid.
TWINGES IN THE HINGES
Twinges in the Hinges is designed specifically for those individuals with moderate arthritis or those who experience joint and muscle aches. Participants will enjoy exercise for flexibility, and increased range of motion.
TWINGES IN THE HINGES +
This class is designed for those with mild arthritis or joint and muscle aches. Twinges in the Hinges+ includes flexibility, muscular conditioning and range of motion exercises. The “plus” class includes cardiovascular exercise.
