The OASIS

The Oasis is the outcome of a recognized need for the youth of our community to have an area where they are able to participate in healthy activities after school.
The programs and events at The Oasis are made possible through the generous donation from the Hansen Family Foundation and the strong partnerships our YMCA has with the following local nonprofits:
- Presbyterian Church, Sewickley
- Sewickley Public Library
- Laughlin Center
- Quaker Valley School District
- Youth Connect
- Sweetwater Center for the Arts
The middle school and high school students have the opportunity to enjoy Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 (+KINECT) on our big screen TVs, as well as dozens of board games, card games, and craft supplies. Participants can partake in ping pong, billiards, indoor/outdoor sports and swimming.
Participants are offered homework help, vigorous physical activity, and a hearty, nutritious snack.
Our special events offer opportunities to explore hobbies and learn new skills in the worlds of crafts, music, cooking, the outdoors, sports, and more.
Parents know that their children are supervised by a diverse group of fun, responsible adult volunteers in an enriching environment where kids can still be kids.
