Arthritis group exercise encourages people of all ages to use the buoyant qualities of water to enhance their physical fitness through exercise classes in our Warm Water Pool. Classes such as Twinges in the Hinges and Arthritis Foundation Aquatics Program are an ideal form of exercise for all ages and increases physical strength and endurance without putting stress and strain on joints, as in land-based exercise. Swimmers and non-swimmers alike can take part in this type of exercise to reduce emotional stress and tension, improve health, and encourage and improve feelings of well-being and self-esteem.

Members and participants are invited to try a class for one time free with accessibility based on class size and available space. To use this offer, please contact the membership or registration desks. Swim lessons, scuba, camp, and child care are excluded. As each one of our classes can be modified for every fitness level, you should feel comfortable and confident in trying any that interests you!

To ensure that all members have the opportunities to enjoy the Y's free water exercise classes, adult members may register for only two free water exercise classes per session.
