BEST SUMMER EVER!
Every day, campers swim, play, run, make friends, sing play sports, make crafts, hike and be a kid. We know camp, kids and how to make camp an amazing experience for every camper. Camp offers new experiences, skill building, a sense of community and lasting friendships.
Our camp leadership has a combined 50 years of experience with our Y's Day Camp. For more information about Summer Day Camp, please contact Senior Director for Youth, Teen and Family Marc Smith at 412-741-9622 ext. 103 or email@example.com
We’re excited for another summer of camp and hope you and your children are, too. This summer, we are making some programmatic and logistical changes to our preschool camp that we want to bring to your attention.
State laws have evolved to require preschool camps to be state-licensed programs. As a result, we will be moving camps for children who have not yet completed Kindergarten off-site to Osborne Elementary School. This move will allow us to provide enough dedicated indoor square footage to meet the licensing requirements. But don’t worry! Camp will still include all of the things our preschoolers love – camp songs, outdoor play and exploration, swimming, field trips and awesome counselors! Any child who has already started kindergarten and above will be placed in the Y’s Youth Camp, which will be held at the Y campus and War Memorial Park.
Change is never easy, but we believe that moving the preschool camp offsite allows us to accommodate the large number of children in this age group. Otherwise, we would have to drastically reduce the number of spaces available or discontinue the preschool camp altogether. We know that many families count on the Y preschool camp in the summer months, and we love having a robust, loud and fun preschool camp. It wouldn’t be summer camp without our preschoolers!
Details of both the preschool camps and the youth camps are contained in this guide. Please note that licensing requirements for preschool camp will call for a bit more paperwork, but our staff will make sure you know which forms you will need to complete. Our Youth Camp enrollment will be the same as years past.
Youth & Teen Camp
