Ambridge Area School District has designated lunch only meal services in three locations throughout the district. This service will run from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and will be operating daily until further notice in the following locations:
- Ambridge High School: 11 – 11:30 a.m. in the High School parking lot.
- State Street Elementary: 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. at the Main Entrance.
- Economy Elementary: 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Kindergarten Entrance.

Crop & Kettle, free lunch Monday - Friday
Crop & Kettle provides a limited number of free meals from 12-1:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Meals can be picked up at the St John’s Lutheran in Old Economy office. St John’s Lutheran in Old Economy is located at 1320 Church Street in Ambridge.
Faith in Action
We continue to operate our Faith In Action senior outreach program because the elderly and medically fragile need us now more than ever. We’re making sure they have groceries and prescriptions delivered to them and are taking them to necessary medical appointments. If you, a family member or neighbor who would benefit from this service, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get connected. We’d like to leverage our entire Y community in the effort to help our friends and neighbors.
Free Internet Services
If you need the internet to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic, Comcast is offering a low-income Internet Essentials package, including two months of free internet. To see if you qualify for the service, visit www.internetessentials.com.

Sewickley Community Food Pantry
As long as the Sewickley Community Center Food Pantry has food supplies, they will be providing food to those in the QV community. The pantry is open from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. every Wednesday for drive-by food pick-up. The 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays will be for emergencies and by appointment only. The SCC pantry is located at 15 Chadwick Street, Sewickley.
Donating to the Sewickley Community Center Food Pantry
The Sewickley Community Center Food Pantry is accepting donations on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month between 9 - 11 a.m. Financial donations are also accepted. Checks can be made out to the Sewickley Community Center, with “food pantry” in the memo and sent to 15 Chadwick Street, Sewickley, PA 15143.

The Ladle, free dinners every Monday
Every Monday from 5-6 p.m. the Ladle provides take out dinner, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Old Economy, located at 1320 Church Street, Ambridge. The Ladle also maintains a food pantry and provides emergency transportation and lodging assistance for those with special circumstances. Sewickley Presbyterian Church has been a supporter of The Ladle since its inception in 2005.

If you need to connect with resources in your community, but don’t know where to look, Pennsylvania 211 is a great place to start. From help with a utilities bill, to housing assistance, after-school programs for kids, and more, you can dial 211 or text your zip code to #898-211 to talk with a resource specialist for free. United Way specialists will listen to your needs, and give you information on programs in your community that might be able to help.
West Hills Food Pantry
Located at 522 Carnot Road, Coraopolis the West Hills Food is currently providing groceries using drive-through distribution. Our next distribution will be April 28, 2020, from 10 am to 1 pm. We have been distributing groceries every other week during this time and will probably continue through May 2020.
