We believe that everyone in our community should have the opportunity to benefit.

From YMCA programs and services. Our financial assistance program is central to our mission. When someone loses a job, when medical bills become overwhelming, or when other challenging situations occur, people need the support of the Y. Financial Assistance, supported by the Annual Campaign, offers programs and services of the Y at reduced rates based on low-income guidelines to fit the financial situation of individuals in our community.

Since 1894 the community has relied on the Sewickley Valley YMCA for help. But we can’t do it alone and need your support more than ever before.

  • Families and caregivers depend on the Y to provide their children with safe, nurturing opportunities that help them grow up happy, healthy and confident.
  • Kids, who are vulnerable to bullying, low self-esteem, risky behaviors, drug use and teen pregnancy turn to the Y for caring, positive role models and activities.
  • Individuals at risk for heart disease, diabetes and other chronic conditions look to the Y for health and wellness expertise and encouragement.
  • Older adults count on the Y for necessary transportation to remain independent, healthy and social through volunteer support.

Last year, we awarded $549,696 to over 1,500 individuals and families. We believe that everyone in our community should have the opportunity to benefit from YMCA programs, regardless of their financial circumstances, and your donation enables that to happen. We continue to meet the challenges in our community; please stand with us as we work to make a difference for all. Please donate today and take the first step in building a better us.

The Sewickley Valley YMCA Heritage Club is comprised of people who believe strongly in our mission and want to ensure that the Y’s good work will continue for years to come. By including the YMCA in your estate planning through wills, trusts, life insurance, gifts of securities, or other means, you will help us continue to be a vital community service organization for a second century and beyond.
