JANUARY - MOONCREST AFTER SCHOOL
Mooncrest After School Program is run by the Felician Sisters and provides an environment that is non-denominational and faith-based, safe, comfortable, and secure away from home. We will be collecting gloves and scarves for adults and children.
FEBRUARY - BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK
In the Quaker Valley School District, McFadden Chiropractic Wellness Center, PC facilitates Blessings in a Backpack. This program mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry. Items donated should be single-serving and easy to prepare. Canned food items should have pop-tops as not everyone has access to a can opener. We will be collecting complete meals (Hormel or Dinty Moore), Breakfast Bars, Canned Fruit, Oatmeal, Crackers with Cheese, Soups, Canned Vegetables, and Ravioli type products.
MARCH - YARN
Any amount and any color of yarn will be accepted as a donation to the Sewickley Presbyterian Church. A group meets every Thursday to knit for missions all over the world.
APRIL - LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENTS
We will be collecting bottled water for our local fire departments. Stations include Sewickley, Leetsdale, Fair Oaks, Aleppo, and Bell Acres.
MAY - LOCAL FOOD BANKS
Any non-perishable food items will be accepted as a donation for food banks in Sewickley, Leetsdale, and Coraopolis.
