Food Insecurity surfaced like never before in our community and the disparity gap widened.  The Y recognized this urgent need and partnered with volunteers, organizations, foundations, and churches came together to support the community.  Collaboration continues to be the key to reducing food insecurity, and every month, volunteers pack food boxes with fresh fruits and vegetables, pantry staples, dairy and meat.  Faith in Action drivers deliver the boxes to 90 homes, helping remove the barriers to accessing food.

If you would like to volunteer to help pack boxes in the future, contact Amy Richardson at arichardson@sewickleyymca.org to be added to the list.

The Quaker Valley Food Relief program is funded solely by donations, and we couldn’t do this work without the support from local businesses and community donors. A donation of $25 will provide one family food box; donate online.
