Thanks to the support of the Sewickley Valley Community Fund and Sewickley Presbyterian Church, the Junior Girl Scout Troop and Glen Oaks Service Unit #36784, the Sewickley Valley YMCA, and local volunteers, the Y manages seven Free Mini Pantries. Free Mini Pantries offer a zero-barrier access point to food to help fill the gaps in the food system. They support neighbors who are facing food insecurity while building communities. They empower people to make an immediate change in their neighborhood.  If you are interested in volunteering or want to learn more about the Free Mini Pantries, contact Amy Richardson at 412-741-9622 ext. 108 or arichardson@sewickleyymca.org

Pantries are available to the community at the following locations:

  • Henle Park in Leetsdale
  • Fair Oaks Fire Department
  • Laughlin Memorial Library in Ambridge
  • Pathway Church Moon Campus in Crescent Township
  • St Paul's Lutheran Church in Sewickley
  • Sewickley Community Center
  • GIVE WHAT YOU CAN

Anyone can donate food to support the pantries. A list of nonperishable hearty food can be found below.  All donated items should be unopened and unexpired and can be dropped off in the box located in the lobby of the Sewickley Valley YMCA. You can also donate by placing food or personal care products inside the Free Mini Pantry. We ask that, during the winter months, no glass jars be placed in the pantries. No gift is too small.

You can also donate through our Amazon wishlist!
