The recent local rise in Covid-19 cases has prompted The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to move Allegheny and Beaver counties into a category indicating that substantial Covid-19 spread exists. Based on this categorization, the CDC and the Allegheny County Health Department recommend that people mask indoors in facilities like ours that serve the public.

As we have from the beginning of the pandemic, we will follow the recommendations of the health department and CDC and recommend that staff, members and children over the age of 2 mask while inside the YMCA while our region remains is the substantial or high community spread categories.

Anyone with a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, or who has symptoms of, or exposure to COVID-19 will not be allowed to use the Y until symptoms have subsided for 24 hours. Cover all coughs and sneezes with your arm, and wash hands thoroughly after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. We’ve installed a sink in the lobby so you can wash your hands when you enter, or as you pass through the locker rooms on your way to the wellness center or pools.

Bring your own water bottle. The hand-operated portion of water fountains are disabled, but the touchless bottle filler will work.

Thank you for being part of the solution to slow the spread.
