Progressive Swim Lessons
STRONG SWIMMERS, CONFIDENT KIDS
The YMCA has been America's leading swim instructor for more than 100 years. Swimming is a life skill as well as great exercise and challenging sport. The Sewickley Valley YMCA swim programs extend beyond instruction and focus on keeping kids safe in and around water while developing confidence and skills that last a lifetime. Kids can explore the water year-round in our indoor pools through swim lessons, family swim, swim team, spectrum swim lessons and water safety programs.
Health & Wellness
LEADING THE FULLEST LIFE POSSIBLE AT ANY AGE
The Sewickley Valley YMCA offers programs and services for every age and every level of activity with a mission to help everyone achieve a balance of spirit, mind and body. Our staff encourages healthy living through resources, support, safe and effective equipment, and an environment that promotes our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Members and participants are invited to try a class for one time free with accessibility based on class size and available space. To use this offer, please contact the membership or registration desks. Swim lessons, scuba, camp, and child care are excluded. As each one of our classes can be modified for every fitness level, you should feel comfortable and confident in trying any that interests you!
The Sewickley Valley YMCA offers group exercise classes, personal training, group sports and nutrition counseling.
Faith In Action
GIVING BACK AND SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY
Faith in Action provides the elderly with drivers to help them remain independent and a vital part of their community by providing rides to doctor appointments and medical treatments, the grocery store and access to conduct their personal affairs.
Annually, Faith in Action provides approximately 1,400 rides to elderly citizens in the Sewickley Valley through a network of volunteer drivers. Faith in Action began in 2002 as a community outreach program at the Sewickley Valley YMCA, and now is a program jointly supported through a partnership between the Y and Heritage Valley Health System.
If you’d like to make a gift to Faith in Action or volunteer, please contact the Heather Ochman at the YMCA at 412-741-9622 x135 or email@example.com; or the Heritage Valley Sewickley Foundation at firstname.lastname@example.org or 412-749-7050.
