We leverage the excitement and passion around youth sports to create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, develop a sense of team and connect with positive role models. During Youth Sports, players are physically active, increase their skills and ability, and develop communication skills.
The Y Flag Football league will focus on fundamentals, good sportsmanship and fun. Weather make-up dates may be added if needed.

Junior Penguins is a beginner to intermediate dek hockey league designed to teach kids basic skills such as handling, passing, shooting and defense. The focus of our youth basketball leagues is to have fun, meet new friends, and play in a noncompetitive environment.

TIME: Games are approximately 1 hr.
Learning a martial art builds lifelong skills. During Tang Soo Do and Little Dragons, children refine their agility and motor skills along with goal-setting. Students in this traditional martial arts program maintain a healthy lifestyle, relieve stress and develop self-defense skills in a non-competitive, welcoming environment.
Parent Child Wellness Program
This program is designed for youth to use the cardiovascular equipment in the Wellness Center or lap swimming with a parent. Children participating in this program may utilize cardio equipment during all youth hours of operation, or get a cardio workout doing laps in the large pool, provided that a parent is in the water at all times. Use of this benefit requires direct supervision of the parent at all times in the Wellness Center. Schedule your orientation at the registration desk. This program is for members only and is free as a benefit of your membership.
Pickle-ball Junior Clinic
Learn the basics of pickle-ball, a combination of ping pong, tennis and badminton from Christi Hays.

TIME: 1.5 hours
Played on a screened court, one quarter the size of a regular tennis court, using 18-inch paddles and a spongy rubber ball, platform tennis combines tennis, squash and racquetball.
YMCA Tumbling provides an introduction to the fundamentals of beginner to intermediate gymnastics skills. During Tumbling your child will focus on improving flexibility, balance, and strength while learning skills, such as cartwheels, handstand and, front/back limbers and back walkovers that will prepare your child for back handsprings.

Youth Basketball League
Our Youth Basketball League is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills while teaching teamwork, strategy and sportsmanship. Skills taught include passing, shooting, dribbling and the rules of the game. Players in Y.B.L. ave fun, meet new friends and play in a noncompetitive environment. Y.B.L. is for all levels from beginner to experienced. Skill evaluation is Saturday, January 20. Volunteer coaches meeting will be held on January 17. Games are played on Saturdays, and will practice will be one night a week. Game times will vary week to week.

Youth Basketball League, Jr. High
Jr. High Youth Basketball League is designed for players who want to play in an organized co-ed league where they can have fun and improve their skills; teams play one game a week on Saturdays with one-weekday practice. Skill evaluation: Saturday, March 24.

Youth Run Club
For Ages 7 to 11
Run Club introduces the fun of running to kids at a young age to help develop healthy, lifelong habits. Kids will run cross country trails that surround the Y in and around War Memorial Park with supervised staff.
