At the Y, recreational programming provides a healthy outlet for your child to gain new skills, foster a passion and connect with positive role models.
For Ages 7 to 12
Learn to draw, paint with water colors, sketch and more with Brian Berry, local artist. During this class, Brian will teach proper technique as he encourages creativity.

Baby-sitting Training Course
This training for boys and girls ages 10-14 teaches basic skills for baby-sitting. The training includes topics in activities, nutrition and first aid. Students will receive a certificate of completion.

Private Piano Lessons
The Sewickley Valley YMCA offers private piano lessons. Whether you are a beginner and have never played a note or looking to build upon your current skill level, the Y is ready to help you. Family Fun Night
To build healthy families, the YMCA hosts family fun nights. You and your family will be able to roller skate in the large gym, swim in the warm water pool, play in the family gym, hang out in the teen center and much more. Please remember that all children will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We look forward to seeing you and your family at the Y. Family Fun Night follows the Youth & Teen Session dates.

Parent Child Wellness Program
This program is designed for youth to use the cardiovascular equipment in the Wellness Center or lap swimming with a parent. Children participating in this program may utilize cardio equipment, or get a cardio workout swimming laps in the large pool, provided that a parent is in the water at all times. Use of this benefit requires direct supervision from the parent at all times in the Wellness Center. Schedule your orientation at the registration desk. This program is for members only and is free as a benefit of your membership.
Parents Night Out
Age: 6 - 13
Every parent needs a break. We bring the food, drinks, and fun; you bring the kids! Kids will make new friends, swim, play games, eat pizza, and much more. Parents must register in advance due to a limited number of spaces.
