In-Service Days Reimagined

When Quaker Valley Schools have the day off, the fun and learning continue at the Y! The YMCA has partnered with Fern Hollow Nature Center to bring hands-on nature exploration directly to the YMCA. Each in-service day, a Fern Hollow Naturalist visits the Y to lead engaging activities that inspire curiosity about the environment, science, and the world around us.

Children ages 5–12 will dive into topics like habitats, wildlife, and conservation through creative projects, games, and teamwork with friends. It’s a unique opportunity to turn time off from school into a day of discovery, imagination, and connection.
