Lessons with Christi Hays: Youth, Teen, and Adult
With 40+ years of platform tennis experience, Christi Hays teaches locally and nationally. She began teaching platform tennis at the Sewickley Valley YMCA in 2012.
Christi holds Elite Professional certifications in platform tennis (PPTA & PPTR) and tennis (USPTA & PTR), as well as certification as a Master Racquet Technician and racket stringer (USRSA). In 2017, she joined the American Platform Tennis Association Live Streaming team as a roving reporter, post-match interviewer, and commentator at the Nationals. Her accomplishments include:
- APTA Hall of Fame Curator (2018-2020)
- Awarded the first-ever “WPPTA Lifetime Achievement Award” in May 2007
- National ranking #4 in APTA Women’s Open in 1981, reaching the quarterfinals
- Paddle titles in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit, Toledo, Indianapolis, Toronto, Baltimore, Rochester, and Ross, CA
- 2000 Canadian Open Champion
- West Penn 45+ Champion in 1998 and 2001
- West Penn Women’s Championship winner for 7 consecutive years
- West Penn Mixed Championship participant for 10 consecutive years, winning the title 5 times
- Semi-finalist at the 2002 50+ APTA National Championships, #3 National Ranking
- Gold medalist at the 2007 50+ APTA Nationals in Scarsdale, NY, along with teammate Chris Ford, finishing with a #1 National Ranking in their age group

Lessons with Kelly Fischer: Youth, Teen, and Adult
Kelly Fischer has nearly 30 years of experience teaching tennis and paddle tennis in the Pittsburgh area. A certified PPTA platform tennis instructor, Kelly brings extensive knowledge and experience teaching men, women, and children of all ages and abilities. Her achievements include:
- #10 National ranking
- 12-time West Penn Open winner, reaching the finals 14 out of the past 16 years
- 6-time Cleveland Masters winner and Rochester Open winner
- Recipient of Robert Morris University (RMU) Most Outstanding Female Athlete President’s Award
- RMU tennis and basketball player, earning 3 All-Conference selections as a point guard
