Between the ages of 1 years to 3 years old, children are busy discovering the world around them, building independence, and developing important social and language skills. The Sewickley Valley YMCA offers two distinct program pathways to support toddlers during this stage of rapid growth.
All approaches to learning at the YMCA nurture the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—while emphasizing self-confidence, curiosity, and positive relationships with peers and families.
YMCA Toddler Child Care (12-36mos)
YMCA Toddler Child Care offers a supportive, play-based environment where toddlers ages 12-36 months explore through art, music, movement, and age-appropriate activities. Daily routines help children feel secure, while teachers encourage independence and social development. Full-day options available.
Montessori Toddler Programs (18-36mos)
Learn through hands-on experiences in a carefully prepared Montessori environment. Toddlers ages 18-36 months build independence, coordination, and confidence as they explore practical life skills, language, and sensorial activities. Montessori Toddler programs are available in both part-day and full-day formats.
